Trendspotting: Head-Shaped Planters

If terra cotta planters in the shape of a head conjure images of chia pets, then you  haven't seen 
them lately!
The New Orleans Museum of Art recently commissioned flower arrangements in head-shaped containers for The Garden Club luncheon, and now you can have your own piece of New Orleans flair right here at Parterre!

Our version of the planter is stylized and comes in terra cotta, which will gain patina with age.  Try topping them with flowers or succulents (or ferns, if you have a sense of humor).  Use one as a statement piece, or group several for more impact.  Ballard Designs has already picked up on the trend, and is featuring a classical terra cotta bust planter in their latest catalog.  Luckily, you can get the same great style right here in Monroe!
